FirstBrief · Fractional Front Desk
FirstBrief is a fractional front desk built for solo appointment businesses — groomers, salons, and barbers who are great at the work and drowning in the book. A real person, backed by smart systems, confirms your appointments, finishes your reminders properly, refills cancelled slots from your waitlist, and asks for the reviews you keep meaning to request. Inside the booking app you already use.
One groom ≈ $75. Lose just 2 appointments a week to no-shows and late cancels and that's about $600 a month — $7,800 a year — walking out the door. Owners in grooming groups report far worse: $500 days and $700 weeks gone.
Our whole service costs less than two recovered appointments a month. Everything after that is found money.
The pilot
2 weeks · $199
Credited in full toward your first month if you continue ($549/mo). You get a Friday report each week — appointments confirmed, no-shows, slots refilled, reviews gained — so you can judge it on numbers, not promises. We take two pilot businesses a month: a real person does this work, so spots are genuinely limited.

| Job | What "done" looks like |
|---|---|
| Confirmations | Every appointment personally confirmed — a reply, not just a sent text |
| Reminders | 48-hour and day-of, with an easy reschedule path instead of a silent ghost |
| Waitlist backfill | Cancelled slots offered to your waitlist the same day, before they go cold |
| Reviews | Happy customers asked at pickup; every new review gets a drafted reply |
| Rebooking | Lapsed regulars nudged back onto the book (only the ones you approve) |
| Friday report | One page: confirmed / no-shows / slots saved / reviews gained |
FirstBrief is run by Robert, based in La Mesa — which means if you're in San Diego County, your front desk can actually walk into your shop, shake your hand, and learn how you like things done. The work itself happens inside your cloud booking app, so we serve appointment businesses anywhere. Local for trust. Remote for scale.
"My booking app already sends reminders."
It sends a text. It doesn't chase the reply, refill the slot that cancelled this morning, or ask Mrs. Lopez for a review at pickup. That unfinished gap is exactly what you're hiring.
"Is this a robot?"
No. A named local operator runs your front desk, with software helping behind the scenes. Your customers deal with a person, and so do you.
"What if it doesn't help?"
That's what the 2-week pilot and the Friday reports are for. If the numbers don't show it working, you don't continue — and the $199 is the whole risk.
